The city of Munich will deploy Kolab Enterprise for its city wide groupware infrastructure. After a long and thorough tendering process, ESG, a Kolab Systems partner, won the bid and will be the general contractor for integration, migration and services of the Kolab solution. With this deployment Kolab Systems will again prove the full potential of Kolab within a large and complex environment, implementing Linux, Windows, web and mobile clients on well over 14,000 workstations and devices.
The user rights initiative Terms of Service; Didn't Read awarded a Class A rating to MyKolab.com for their terms of service which treat users as fairly as possible. The Swiss provider added new hardware and passes the benefits on to its users in terms of more storage and better prices. Automated moving to the service is now also possible.
The new Kolab Enterprise 13 is now available. It is based upon Kolab.org 3.1, but comes with a whole set of enterprise benefits essential for professional users and ISPs. Certified Kolab will continue to be supported for existing customers. Kolab Enterprise will be a set of yearly releases with version numbering based on their year of release.
